Cage fighters are street fighters, brawlers, Mayweather is a great, trained pugilist who knows how the Marquess of Queensberry rules work. This match was all about the money, as rigged as a WWF show. Mayweather is a great  boxer and now he can retire at 50 and 0. Great entertainment

Getting away from the Mayweather fight. Did anyone see the Davis/ Fonseca fight. Worst piece of refereeing I have seen for a long time. You count someone out for a totally illegal rabbit punch . I know he is from the Mayweather camp but come off it, even the young guy himself didn't like the con.

Yeah, that was awful refereeing. What was supposed to be a 'showcase fight' for Davis ended up a bad turn of events. First, Davis fails to make weight and loses his title on the scale. Then doesn't look that dominant in the fight and lastly gets credited a  KO from an illegal punch. Not the first time that particular referee, Russell Mora, has been awful and/or biased towards the house fighter.

Sadly, this type of activity within the ring is not uncommon, and the bane of the sweet science for well over a decade. Also, when things go well within the ring, some of the decisions are so unreflective of events it further denigrates the sport.

Just watched a replay, looks to me like it had been agreed in advance that the fight would start in the 10th round. Before that a lot of dancing and pitty pat light punches. Coner had the points up till the 10th then Mayweather was punching him good, ref should have give a standing 8 and let Floyd punch him some more.
