Data recovery advice

Recommended Posts

A few months back while transferring data between hard drives there was a power black out. Data on a hard drive is now corrupted and unreadable

I have tried several data recovery programs, free and paid. Success has been limited.

If you have had a successful data recovery, can you recommend the program you used?

Please don't post google results. Please don't turn this thread into a lecture on backing up data. That will not be helpful.

Thanks, I'll give testdisk a try. I am scared to use the chkdisk /f prior to recovery in case it messes up the data even more.

Does anyone know of a reliable service in Pattaya that actually can retrieve Data off a crashed HD?

My 8 Tb back up disk crashed. The secondary partition is still functioning, and the main partition, 7 Tb of which I Tb was still free, is not "Mounted" as my disk utility reports.
LaCie disk, used in Apple Mac environment.

Most of my most precious data are backed up elsewhere, but there is stuff on there that I haven't backed up anywhere else, and I'd like to see if I can get it back..
