Any comments on BOSS Suites before I book?

Boss Suites seems a lot cheaper than Areca Lodge. Has anyone got any comments, good or bad about this hotel.

I have stayed in Areca Lodge several times but was wondering if I could find somewhere cheaper but just as good?

I was there a few years ago.  It was fine, old, clean.  Girl friendly.  The walk up to sukhumvit is longer than it seems on the map....must be the heat.  Stop for a beer on the way.

I stayed there a bit quite a few years ago when it was the Diana hotel. It was a bit dated then. The hotel doesn't have lifts so if you are on one of the higher floors there is a bit of stair walking involved.

Since being changed to Boss Suites I believe the majority of customers are now from India.

Most of the cutomers are from India and the hotel is very old and not updated.

As said over here, hotel seems quite old. The room I had was small, dark, and a jammed balcony door. Not that it mattered too much, as the only view from room was a grey concrete wall
But the staff were friendly. I even got 3 free beers from the lobby bar, as my room wasn't ready upon arrival, which was nice  Good location, but it desperatly need an upgrade.

There are better hotels around for about the same price.

Thanks for these replies. I have now decided to book into the Areca Lodge where I have stayed before.
