Controlling excessive sex drive

I know this is the opposite kind of a problem to what a lot of guys have - but does anyone have an excessive sex drive?

I have always had a high sex drive (in my 20's I could come 8-10 times/day) - now, at 57, I NEED to come about 5 times a day. If I don't then I get very grumpy and irritable and sometimes develop a bad migraine.

My wife is very accommodating and almost never refuses sex or hand/oral etc. We also have frequent threesomes and she has no problem with me taking girls. However when we don't have time for enough sex (travelling, work, etc) then I very quickly get miserable and grumpy - which is not fair on her. I try to control this, but so far cannot.

I have had testosterone and other hormones checked many times and everything is normal. I have also had my doctor try me with medication to reduce sex drive - but unfortunately it also caused depression as a side effect - so I stopped that.

Anyone had similar experiences and, if so, what was your solution?

Sorry, but I don't see the issue here.  If there isn't a receptive female around, take the issue into your own hands and move on.  Actually, the OP should be thankful.  At 51, I wish I had this "issue" (as I'm sure many guys here would).

sounds more like an 'addiction' than 'sex drive'. The chemicals released in the brain when you cum are strong and you can get addicted to them. If this is the case then you need to slowly reduce the number of times you cum each data. The fact you get headaches when you stop suggests withdrawal symptoms

i wish i had your problem .i also 57 ,have a beautiful gf half my age, i fuck her 2 or 3 times a day, sometimes she brings a mate home from work for a 3 some. its more than enough for me .not that i am complaining .

I think it all depends on where you live and who you hang out with. If you hang out everyday with a bunch of 70 year old women, you won't think of sex even after 20 years. But if you're hanging out everyday with girls that look like Lorena Rae (Leonardo diCaprio's new gf), you will want sex 10 times per minute.

Can't really see what your problem is. Not like this is a sudden new condition that's cause for alarm, you've been dealing with this high libido for 40-something years now. All I can tell you is make hay while the sun shines because as you get into your late-60s and 70s your libido will subside and your "old fella" won't be like it used to be.

Symptoms definitely sound like an addiction and the cure for that is going cold turkey.

Personally I find that if I am occupied by something else, for example doing a multi-week nature trek or being involved in an interesting project (which I’ll work on from morning till night for multiple weeks), I pretty much do not think about sex.

But then, I am not addicted, yet when the date for my arrival in Thailand has been set, the intake of Thai porn goes up tremendously, and I have certainly had days where I had to masturbate multiple times just to get it out of my system…
