I'm in the DC area and there are huge crowds outside of the Whitehouse showing support for the new President. It's been a hell of a ride and now the real work begins. He'll need all the help he can get. A very historic night, both of my parents are in disbelief, neither thought they would ever see this day in their lifetime. Very emotional...

Question for those members who graduated from some real schools instead of the University Of Mongering: I was wondering, what do you think the effect could be to the baht rate in the short term? Especially in regards to the baht/euro rate? It's now down to about 44 baht to the euro, a few months back it was almost 52 B/E. I'll be in Thailand by the end of this month, so I'm hoping for a bit of return to form for the dollar/euro. Will the currency market in the West go up, or this low rate just a result of the worldwide economical malaise?

I think it will still be the same,the rich people will get even more wealthy and the poor people will stay where they are.

So i guess that he got a lot of votes becourse some was voting with there hearts instead of with there brains.

I'm not into American politics too much. For me I have seen what American foreign policy has been doing recently and I really feel that as far as that is concerned a change was needed. In the short term it might not make too much difference but for the good of the future some mending needs to get done. I couldn't see that happening if McCain was voted in.

I am very sorry Mav,i tought i used the political right word in my post,since i translated it stright from Swedish,sorry if i offended you, or anyone else.

In Sweden it´s got a bad tune to it when saying someone is black,we say "Färgad"and thats translated in to colored.
