About a week ago my real player stopped getting any sound. Now I have the same problem with everything on my computer, There is no sound from my vlc and wmv players as well as when I access videos on the web. Everything is turned on the way it should be. Does anyone know what is going on?

You could try installing the latest drivers for your sound card?

I don't know what that means. Can you tell me what drivers and a sound card are?

Then right click on it and open Playback Devices and see which one is enabled.

I had a similar problem, I cleaned out the cookie cache(pole)  and the sound would not play on youtube video.

So I reinstalled  adobe that seems to work

Well that's the easy way to check what Sound Card & Drivers means.

Did you check this yet?

What do you mean enabled? When I right clicked the playback devices I got a speakers icon with a green check mark.

The only icon I'm getting is the one that says speakers. The other four you list aren't there.

Do you have some headphones you can try?

Is there a specific place there I can go?

No, but I doubt that would help.

Do you have external speakers hooked up?

Not a laptop?

Are your speakers plugged in?

Omg ... if you don't know what a sound card is .. or what drivers are ...

I would suggest getting a " WINDOWS FOR DUMMIES" book or something simular.

Not knowing these things is kind of like when you ask someone "when was the last time you changed the oil in your car?"

... and they say .... "what are you talking about? "

I'm a blowfish!

Not even the little set that came with your iPhone6+ ?    :WinkGrin1:

It would just check whether there's any output.

Go to Devices Manager and Update Driver on your Sound Card.

Might be blown speakers. That's why it is a good idea to try the headphones. You'll know then that it's very likely a hardware issue rather than anything in the operating system.
