I really enjoyed my stay at Ring Guesthouse in Pattaya. In the middle of the center where things happens. And very scheap with high standard. . . .

For people wondering about the location of this place... From Pattayaland, cross 2nd Road and go to the left. Turn right at the first corner (the street which leads to the Mercure, Pattaya Bay Resort and the backside of The Avenue Shopping Mall) and you should see the guesthouse on your right.

I haven't stayed there, but have used the web cafe downstairs that is open 24 hours. It is run by a couple friendly LBs. The hour I was there in the middle of the night, the only guests I saw come in were extrememly drunk and loud Europeans. I'd take a pass.

Small hotels/Guesthouses like this, in the middle of the action usually don't have swimming pools. I've heard good things about the Flipper hotels, which have pools on the rooftop. But hey, who needs a pool in patts? :P

In the web pages they say that some of the rooms have separate kitchen.I just wondering does those kitchens include cooking plates or microwawe.

Can somebody answer who has been there already.I looked all pictures at web pages but no good pictures from kitchen.

OK, this thread and one other convinced me to book a room here for the end of the year. I just filled out the form sunday morning and less than an hour later got confirmation on my booking. The factors that led me to choose this are: location ( I formerly stayed in the royal Palace hotel - in front of the royal garden mall ) and the fact it was recently renovated. The pics of the room look good.

^ I'd guess LB friendly as the staff downstairs were all LBs when I was there.

I stayed here for 8 days. First day was in a standard room and the next week were in a deluxe room. I got the deluxe at a discount of 750 (it's low season now) for the week.

The standard room was good and I was quite happy with the deluxe. I had a cool couch and coffee table along with my bed and a large bathroom. It was spacious and I could look down on 2nd street. Also the nice thing about this is that it's quite close to Walking Street. Before I had stayed here I had stayed at Secrets. The rooms here are of much better value with only being an extra 4-6 min walk away from Walking Street.

Downsides to this place are as stated before no pool, balcony and louder than a place off the beaten path. Also the cleaning staff consists of a 15 year old boy who did an OK job, but it's not the same as staying at a slightly bigger hotel with a regular cleaning staff.

All in all make of it what you will. I'm quite happy in my new location in the LK Metro area. It's calmer and baht buses make it easy to get to Walking Street. Also it's cheaper, quieter and has a balcony. Then again on my first couple days in Pattaya I was happy to be closer to Walking Street.

Ahh well I'd say out of 100 being perfect it gets a 90 for being clean.

The noise isn't horrible, but I'm comparing this to pretty much absolute silence at the place I'm at now. But yeah it's better over here for everything except distance to Walking Street. And there are plenty of beer bars in this area anyway.

I'm staying at

New Nikom Court

312/90 M.9 Soi Lengkee T. Nongpure A.Banglamung Chonburi 20260

Tel. (66 38) 488600, 488601

email: [email protected]

Rooms are basic, but nice. Staff is friendly. No joiner fees. Pool. Wifi. Cable. Etc.

I don't know what normal rates are but the girl who helped me find the place negotiated 600 baht if I stayed "a long time". I paid for a week.

Actually in this area I see a lot of signs for cheap rooms, even as low as 500 (didn't like that place though).

Really if your coming anytime soon book a place for 2 days then walk around and find a better deal / place if your not happy with what you've got. If you're happy negotiate for a better rate for staying longer. Good luck.
