New 60 day single entry

I have a question. The Thai Embassy in HK ask for a A copy of Hong Kong/Macau I.D.Card. to get a tourist visa

 

How do you get this?

I was not asked for this.

 

I provided photocopies of drivers license (front and back) from Australia with passport, application form and fee.

 

Took three business days in early 2015.

That should not be a requirement if you are applying for a single entry 60 day TV, ID card is only being mandated for multiple entry visas as you can apply for such visa only in your home country.

has anyone applied yet for this visa from the uk ?  im going to the consulate in liverpool this week . i was told on the phone to bring the  application form, passport , 2 photos and the fee .

 

i now read on the website i need 5k in the bank and statements, company registration certificate, copies of flight tickets and hotel reservation.  this seem a bit excessive is it true ????

If you're a Brit that's under 50, even if you're a multi millionaire and not working, or in a seasonal job in UK Thailand doesn't want you for more than 60 days (+ extension ).

The METV is a cock up which wont last long , or will be relaxed.
