This is the 16 room Finnish/Thai couple owned nice guesthouse on Soi Yume near Pattaya Klang's BigC. They have a restaurant with affordable prices and huge portions. All the rooms(different sizes)have AC, fan, spacious bathrooms, free wifi, deposit box, king size bed, wardrobe, cable TV and fridge.

Area is very quiet and they are renting the motobikes(1000bht/week). No walk of shame or joiner fees. Very laid back atmosphere as always in Patts. :WinkGrin1:

A couple of minutes of walk to BigC on the intersection of Pattaya Klang/3rd Road and for the Soi Buakhao a few minutes more.

For the low season all the rooms are 400bht/day or 2500bht/week + electricity

Althought their website is almost fully in Finnish there is some more pics about the rooms: http://maikanmajatalo.com/majoitus.html

Restaurant:

As I said they have a nice restaurant with the affordable prices and huge portions, also Thai dishes available. Restaurant has a pool table, darts board and a huge 84" TV and of course a free wifi. There is usually daily "killer" pool tournaments.

Here is the menu: http://maikanmajatalo.com/images/menu.pdf Dishes #30-90 have a guarantee that if you finish the portion and will still be hungry, they offer you the another portion for free.

Some more pics from the restaurant and some food pics also: http://maikanmajatalo.com/ravintola.html

Here is the another thread about the restaurant with some additional pics: http://www.pattaya-addicts.com/forum/topic/267209-finnish-restaurantguesthouse-maikan-majatalo-soi-yume/

Sauna:

What is the Finnish guesthouse without sauna. They have it in the rooftop. Every Saturday there is a free sauna&BBQ for the guests(others 100bht) and you can also rent the sauna for the private party(min 3 persons/100bht each). The restaurant will provide the drinks and the food.

Some pics of the sauna: http://maikanmajatalo.com/sauna.html

The guesthouse have their weekly schedule which is the following:

Monday: Golf

Tuesday: Bowling league(not in the low season)

Wednesday: Golf

Thursday: Quiz night(only in Finnish) 7pm

Friday: Golf and the game of Mölkky 5pm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%B6lkky

Saturday: Sauna with BBQ 7pm

Sunday: The day off

As you can see the owner is the keen golfer and knows all the golf clubs around the Pattaya and is a great source of knowledge if you need the info about the golf and virtually everything around the Pattaya. On the golf trips veryone will pay their fees and caddies by themselves and will pay few bath for the transportation to the owner.

Sometimes they will organize tours. Some examples: Dark Side tour, fishing trip and cable water ski. The guests can also request the certain trip and if there is enough punters to participate, off they go.

Here is the location map:

Just to report back that I have been for several meals that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Definitely on my regular dining schedule. The meals ticked off all three of

my criteria, tasty, a good sized portion, and a reasonable price. I will be back

regularly. :GoldenSmile1:

Yes if you like the farang sized meals, this is the place to have it. Also their thai food is good, Did you have the another portion for free or one was enough?  :GoldenSmile1:  If you go there say greetings from PA. As the Canadian, you must be the first to find out of this place. It's a little bit far away from the central Pattaya, but the food is really tasty and you can feel the Finnish way of partying, when you go there :Think1:
