I visited for 2 weeks in June and it was an enjoyable stay.I will be staying for 4 nights later this week prior to my move to the condo leased for 1 year.At 999b per night,Iconsidered it a bargain, considering what was included.

Relatively new hotel-15 months more or less.Wifi throughout, including 2 computers in lobby for monger use.Attentive staff that welcome both you and your BG politely every time.Breakfast included-both English and Thai to choose from at rooftop restaurant overlooking pool and Pattaya.

located just off 2nd road behind Avenue Mall.

English and Thai newspapers in lobby and also 2nd floor reading room with same.Gym also for those so inclined.Tuk tuk to 2nd road or Soi Buckaroo(LOL).

Very attentive owner (yes owner-Kim) always on hand for majority of day to attend to any problems.

Largrish shower and refrigerator.Attached safe and 2 bottles of water supplied daily.

Needless t say,I think PBR is a bargain.

helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but

at the very least you need a beer."

I stayed there for the first time last trip. I'll be staying there again next month. The only problem is that it is so good that it can be difficult getting a room, even in low season. Someone posted a while ago that Feb is already booked out. The one minor complaint that I have about the place is that the lift can be very slow. I suspect that the programming hasn't been done quite correctly as it does some strange things sometimes.

Just returned home after a month in Pattaya staying at the Pattaya Resort hotel, great location a five minute walk through the new Avenue Shopping mall to Second Road opposite Soi 13/1 or a free Tuk Tuk ride to 2nd Road 5 minute walk to Walking Street. Try the Braised Steak with red wine sauce and mashed potatoes in the top floor restaurant at 260 baht. I had the dish 4 times and recommend highly and the staff from reception, door, house and restaurant are top notch, friendly, helpful and the rooms are great for the price. This is a well run hotel very guest friendly and always ring you to check everything is ok before they give the girl her ID back. Security is tight needing your key to enter the accommodation area and they do supply you with water bottles every day without fail. Have the normal toilet freebiees like soap and shampoo etc and every room has a balcony with a hand basin installed to hand wash clothes if thats what you want to do. And for a 500 baht refundable deposit they will suppy you with a water jug to boil for coffee or tea. Shower pressure is the best I have experienced in any hotel in Thailand. The negative I would tell you if I had one and the comments about the noise well I didnt experience the whole month.

And of cause no hotel room in Pattaya should be without one. The incredable"M" from Wonderful Bar corner Soi 13/1 and Second Rd

This is true - book online to check. Unlike a lot of hotels the lowest available rate if their OWN website.

And the larger rooms are even better.

Rates are here http://pattayabayresort.com/Rates.aspx most BMs use the 999 Standard room but the mini suite at 2500 is fantastic value if you have the funds for a little extra.

Also rememeber in low season (before 1st November) you still get every 4th night free so for 7 days or 14 days the rate for the standard room is actually only 856 baht per night and a Mini Suite only 2142 baht.

Book here for these rates www.pattayabayresort.com

Does anyone have photos of the bathroom at PBR? The rooms look great but nothing on the website showing the bathroom. Does it have a shower stall so the whole bathroom don't get wet after a shower? Here is my other decission On my next trip PBR has rooms open but so does Metro-apts. so for my 16 night stay I can get the superior at Metro-Apt for about $410 USD which is close to the Deluxe room at PBR for about $940 USD which would you guys book?

Their lowest cost rooms are smallish but very high quality.

The bathroom in the small rooms was about average size when compared to the 30+ hotels I have stayed in Thailand.

What makes this hotel different is the quality of the room

Yes, they are often pretty full but don't let that put you off trying. All the best hotels fill FIRST regardless of the season or how low it might be. If you want the hotel of your CHOICE you must always book in advance. If you just turn up in Pattaya there are plenty of available rooms but not the better ones usually.

COOL! A couple months back I booked the Presidential Suite for 12 nights in February (Feb 5-17) and have been eagerly awaiting reviews of the suite from another board member. Can you share any details and pics?
