I cannot speak for foreign banks but with Thai banks it is set (usually) at 20,000 Baht per day INITIALLY

 

You can get the limit changed but as has been pointed out most banks still allow only 20,000 per transaction so if you want 100,000 (and have changed the limit to at least that) you then have to do 5x20k

 

Just a word of warning

 

In general max' limits are set for YOUR safety, not for the banks convenience. Unfortunately card skimming DOES happen, albeit infrequently, so keeping a lower max limit protects you against larger fraud.
