Another option is if you buy a server for 1 month and just upload all the stuff you want to bring over and then download it again - yes this depends on the speeds you get ul / dl at home.

No need of a server, just a online storage. That was my idea when proposing to put its data on "the cloud". Nowadays you find some 10 TB online storage for about 10 €/month :)
