looks a decent place in a good location, but their website prices are far too much for the rooms on offer, having said that i suppose there are ways to get it cheaper.

Yes, most hotel "Rack rates" are way too high. I will be booking for a week November. Currently $38 US per night through Agoda

looks nice.

was looking at agodo and the hotels website for the 30th December for 5 nights.

Bit over $100 AUD per night.

Think I will give it a miss. Dont think its a $100 a night hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights in September. It's a fine hotel, and no complaints from me. Staff is super friendly, rooms are clean, have a safe inside and aircon was working great. I didn't experience any noise from 2nd road, but saying that my room was way at the back, and I got so wasted on all my nights so I basically just crashed and burn.

I think it's good value for money - and with a good restaurant at the front it's a winner for me.

I stayed in Maytara around about the same time as the OP, low season so it was value for money, comfy bed, very close to Soi Diana and Central Shopping Mall, literally across the road from Soi Honey.

I spoke to them about the sign and policy about LB's for anyone who might be interested, they had a couple of incidents back to back and if you're only staying a night or two and they dont know you, they require a deposit of 2000 baht.

Being a fairly new hotel, for location and room quality, I think its worth the money during low season and its always on my list of hotels.

We had a decent view from the balcony of the pool and surrounding area, here's a pic of the most important view, notice the decor on top of the bed? :WinkGrin1:

Thanks to the OP & the guys who have given us in put & pics with there stay here.

Looks ok to me in low season but my question is what is the security like ????

Do they have pro active guys in uniform or is just the reception people ???

Opening the door & crashing in to the pool looks nice.

Agree the web site prices are over the top.

Great location for most things & after viewing this thread believe it would be a good try for a few days.

Thank you I always like threads that give a hotel review.

The rooms above the pool with balconies are pretty good but it seems they've raised they're prices quite a bit. Normally you would be able to get a room for under $50 AUD during low season, now its about $67. For that price I'd pay a couple bucks more and stay at VT6 in my opinion, bigger rooms and definitely better view!

I never saw any uniformed security, pretty much just the reception but the hotel is designed in such a way that you have to go past the little restaurant out front that they run and then the reception.

If you have a pool level room can you open your door & swim 24/7 ????

That could be fun & appealing.

Yes, they're called Deluxe Pool Access Rooms, unfortunately if you dont have the blinds closed, anybody else swimming in the pools can see straight in as well so not too much privacy...you can look at the detailed photos on the website...

I havent actually stayed in those rooms but I have in other hotels around Thailand with pool access rooms and while the GG was walking around butt naked, arabs and other nationalities at the time were perving right in from the pool.

Also it can get a little noisy too with them splashing around and speaking loud while you're trying to have a little afternoon nap, Im such an old fart :WinkGrin1:
