If it smells bad ?

hi guys

Well this is from a true story that happened last night .

We had a bar full of guests ,and as i walked around the bar i started to smell this VERY bad smell. It was like someones shoes that had been worn for 6 mths .

I asked the girls what it was ,as i feared it might have been some new type of THai food .They came back with a no its "him" showing me to one guy .

As i got closer it was true he did in fact smell like old fish gone wrong !!

I went off and bought some strong air freshener which we sprayed around .

WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE ?

WOULD YOU HAVE TOLD HIM ??

having said all of that i now have a guy sitting next to me who himself does not smell good at all (not as bad as the guy last night)

You have to ask him to leave. Your bar, your rules. Otherwise you run the risk of all your other patrons leaving. Personally, I would not stay in a bar if the management allowed him to stay.

Tell him there are minimum hygeine guidelines required at your bar. Would you let a patron in with no shirt or no pants as it would be offensive to your other patrons? I'm sure in LOS people have been asked to leave for less. At least this time it is for a valid reason.

Showering. It's not for everybody.

Makes me feel sick just reading this, You have to try and tell him politely to leave or maybe lose all your custom. I have been in a bar before many times one day i went in there and it smelled really bad I dont know what was causing the smell but i havent been back since.

Nothing like a bad smell to put you off beautiful ladies.

LOS caters for all types!

I would have asked him politely to leave.

The need to terminate the odor causing condition outweighs the need for polite silence.

The direct, no-nonsense approach would be best. "I am asking you to leave" and "I don't want your opinion about whether you think you smell bad enough or not", or words to that effect.

With a half smile might help, but whatever you do, be direct and to the point and don't open the floor for discussion.

There is no downside to asking him to leave. How much money could he possbile be spending in his state? What friends can he complain too? Now I feel sorry for the guy, sort of.

Like someone already said, just tell him he has to leave, don't give the reason or you'll just open yourself up for any arguement.

Difficult as I had to tell someone at work but it has to be done and this guy did not realise he smelt, life is safer on the nose now

Quite an awkward situation for a proprietor. If you kick the guy out, he may bad-mouth your bar. Not asking him to leave could result in non-smelly patrons leaving. I'd take the most diplomatic route and say something like, "Hey mate, I'm not sure if you're aware , but I've been told that your odor is disturbing those around you. If you don't mind, go take a shower and when you come back, your first beer's on the house."

Tell him away from everyone else so you not embaress him in front of the girls or customers would of been the apropriate thing in my eyes, but different ways of doing it i guess

i was getting frisky with a girl in soi 7 once... i was going to barfine, but cheekily ran my finger along her crotch, before discreetly sniffing my finger. Was extremely fishy, so finished my drink and left. She couldnt work out why i had changed my mind so quickly.

Tell him that his odor is making the other customers want to vomit, with a smile of course. Then offer him a free beer so he can use the baht on some soap and show him the fastest way to the beach so he can rinse off.

But seriously, even if you find yourself out and a bit ripe, it's too easy to pop into 7-11 and buy some spray deodorant to freshen up.

Was in Marine 2 a couple of weeks ago and there was this one guy that smelled really bad. Like stale body odor, smoke and bad Indian food (and he wasn't even Indian). Not sure how many girls he scored that night but I'm willing to bet he spent the night alone.

What does a monger do to make himself smell that bad. Maybe he is one of those guys into getting pissed on or shat on.

I very rarely come across someone who stinks in LOS. It is just not the done thing.

Bet he lucks out with the women.

I was sitting in an internet cafe on 2nd Road and the guy next to me smelled like old milk and sweaty socks. Perhaps the same guy that was in New Living Dolls1? Anyways, it was so bad that I gagged. Afterward, I took a shower and changed just in case his violent stench got on me.

When you say smelt bad, how?

Smell of puke

Smell of BO

Smell of wee

Smell of bad breath

Smell of poop

He could have trodden in something by accident?

If its personnel hygiene then tell him striaght unless he looks like he benches 150kg then get some one else to tell him. Theres no excuse for

bad personel hygiene.

But then some people go sweaty mad in LOS, the humidity.
