are there scorpions in Pattaya?

Yes, you can buy them on the food carts along with all the other bugs.

Sure they are there but you aren't likely to see them (alive) very often. They are usually the smaller house type. I've never seen one of the big black ones in Pattaya though. The sting hurts but isn't regarded as deadly.

I was stung on my ankle in a village just outside Sakon Nakhon it had crawled into my bed felt like a mosquito bite at first. My ankle swelled up a bit but it wasn't too bad nothing to worry about.

Saw a weird looking one the other night. It had dark camourflaged colouring with a thin, hair like, sting on it. A mate of mine said he caught one of these scorpions before and reckons they can shoot Poison at you !!

Yes, a lot of them. Their usual habitat is under the bed OR under the pillow, nice and dark there do watch out.

Yes! you can bu scorpions on many foodcartd , but i would adviseyou to only eat them( the same applies for the cockroces ,crickets etc.) early n te ecvenig as they often dont chage the oil and the charcoul dies do later so its quie greasy ad tastes very much of the oil

in a Khon Kaen bunglaow I found one hiding in my trainer (twice tbh) was black version bout the length of a cigarette packet.... luckily spotted it just before placing foot inside...

They even cook them and sell them down Walking Street as Thai version of fast food.

there's not much i won't try but looking disgusting is out of the question so count me out!! ;D nah.. somethin tells me i'll throw caution to the wind picture me in tight lace then it's not so bad

Very few scorpions are dangerous to humans, the ones in thailand are comparable to a wasp or bee sting only. Got tagged in Nicaragua by a large brown scorpion a few years back, that was pretty damn painful.
