Baht Bus Pick Pockets

I was on a Baht Bus on Beach Rd last week when 3 people got on board. An older (late 40's), chubby Thai lady, a younger slim Thai lady mid to late twenties and a ladyboy, mid twenties with very low slung fake tits. I thought that they were a wierd combination of people to be hanging around so was very wary when they got on board. The younger Thai and the Katoey were both carrying very large shoulder bags. The Katoey sat next to me and put the big bag across her lap. It was large enough that it covered a little of my lap and some of my side(including my pocket. Luckily for me as soon as they got on i put my hands on my pockets.

 

After the Katoey put the bag on her lap it looked like she put her hand in it to get something however her hand was actually UNDER the bag and it made her way towards my pocket with the movement not visible due to the bag covering it. I felt only the slightest touch on the side of my pocket but she realised that with my nand clutching the pocket he/she wasnt going to get anything from there. I was also giving her the evil Shuggy stare so when he/she looked up at my face it got a shock, the older Thai lady pressed the buzzer and they got off the baht bus knowing they were getting nothing from me..All this happened within about a 400 metre journey so i doubt they would have got on for that short a distance without having an alterior motive. They were last seen waving down another baht bus.

 

My camera was in a case in my pocket so it would have taken too long to take out so i used the camera on my phone to snap one quick picture. The second pic is a cropped version of the first in which you can see the size of the bags they were carrying. The ladyboy is the one in the black shorts and white top while the older Thai lady was wearing the yellow shirt. The younger Thai lady is only partially visable behind the ladyboy.

 

There was little point getting the police involved cause there was no way of stopping them (without getiting physical which could have ended up badly like most Thai Vs Ferang altercations) and unless they had stolen items on them there was no evidence that they had done anything wrong.

Can I ask you , did they pay the fare ? I ask this as it was tried on me a few trips ago from Jomtien, they never paid the fare so I figured the baht bus drivers are on a cut ? Just a thought

They definately paid the fare when they got off.

The silly thing about this... if a lady got on and threw a bag over you both and gave a good hand job, they would get a customer straight away without a doubt!

I had a similar experiance.

 

I was on a bht bus from Naklua road and was going to Walking st.

 

I was with a mate but he was sitting on the other side of the bus as it was full when we got on.

 

It had emptied out a bit by the time we were on beach road and two or three people got on together, one older lady sat next to me and sat much closer than was necessary ie. right up against me

 

I put my hand on my pocket where my money was. Nothing happened and they got off a bit later, mabey she was innosent but you can never be too sure.

 

It wasnt the same people as Shuggy pictured.

This is another gang,work Pattaya Tai ,Soi Boukoi.The wizzened little Fucker in the Baseball cap is the Dip.When she saw me point the camera she hid behind Fattie(the distracter).Fattie has a small Tattoo on her neck.

I was on a baht bus when a thai guy tried to pick pocket a guy from England. It didn't work and the guy kicked the shit out of him,,,,,,,,,but him and his friends didn't pay the baht bus driver.

I think I encountered the OPs gang on Monday afternoon, on a Baht bus heading tiowards Jomtien, alone in the back, bus stops and early-20s thai woman gets on, sits opposite me, then a katoey with dark skin and bright lipstick gets on and sits next to me, far too close. Something put me on guard, I think they were trying too hard not to acknowledge each other. The thai girl engages me in conversation, meanwhile the katoey has a large white bag between me and her, her hand apparently in the bag. I've realised what is going on and had my hand on my wallet, so no harm done. Not long till my stop, so it all happeened very quickly. As I got out I noticed that the zip on my waist bag was open, but all that had in was a couple of condoms so nothing to worry out. As I paid something seemed not right about the driver and his wife (accompanied by small child), I wondered if they were in on the scam - possibly the wife was the middle age woman in the original post.
