I used to have to fly with them... repair condition of interior of the planes was poor to unacceptable...

Now another reason to never fly on an Indian controlled airline... mixing M & F in cockpit...

So who was in charge?   or at least supposed to be in charge???  Was it the "Commander"?

http://www.firstpost.com/india/jet-airways-pilot-who-slapped-woman-commander-on-london-mumbai-flight-may-lose-flying-license-4291429.html

oh, never mind... the woman was (supposed to be) the captain...

Apparently it's ok for the captain to abandon their post if they get slapped...  WTF??? (from 5 days ago on Times of India)

Any updates on these? Anyone got any recent experiences to share?

Ive read they're struggling financially, hence the reduced fares?

Way cheaper than other airlines for the period I'm looking at. Would it be worth it?

I flew with them once, as you say, because of their price. I don't anymore. It wasn't a disaster, but the flight stopped at Mumbai and I didn't like that airport - hot, stuffy, bureaucracy gone mad, slow and ponderous change over. The Iceland volcano went off while I was in Thailand and flights were cancelled including mine. Jet were un-contactable. I tried many, many times and in the end got to the airport to find out that France Air had taken over Jet flights, so had yo go to Paris and pay for the rest of my trip to London myself.

I used them once. They are just about ok. The real issue is that your layovers will be in either Delhi or Mumbai. Delhi is ok but Mumbai is dreadful. I would not use them again based on where their landing hubs are

The judge has spoken and passed judgement

Very tempted myself. Same price for all dates I've looked at in June including Friday's & Saturday's. Only thing holding me back is how long a trip to schedule in light of the possible financial implications of brexit.

I think a 2 week trip is more than enough imo and pretty sensible. In may I only spent about £1700 on spends not Inc hotel so I don't go mental but don't scrimp either. I'd have spent less if I hadn't gone to Patong for 3 nights where it's costs an absolute bomb in comparison to pattaya

I'll only be having one trip a year so want to make the most of it, hopefully stretch it out to nearer 3 weeks. I'm on a similar budget & can have a great time on well under 6k a day. I could cut that back quite a bit if circumstances dictated I had to, so I'm quite keen on that fare.

Only 80 minutes transfer time in Mumbai.... I wonder if that's enough given what I've read about Indian airports?

Make sure you take condoms and lube in hand luggage incase it doesn't make it and I've got to wait a couple days for Ur case. A change of day and night clothes might be a good idea too. I'm moniting The prices because it's only £387 on Qatar at the moment too!

Some bad reviews for jet airways , loss of bagage and also it will be full of indians , going to india then also to bangkok , new airport is spot on , fly eitiad or qatar flights are pretty cheap st moment even for next year.

For the sake of a fare difference of £30+ in this instance, I would definately take the Qatar option

Yes Doha airport is a breeze to transfer through. Best of the middle east transfer airports

I'm with you there, gmingot. Actually, I made this sort of decision about 3-4 trips ago in other ways as well. I'm comfortable paying an extra £50 for non-stop and also a bit more, about 30 - 50, to get a flight from Heathrow which leaves in the morning or early afternoon so that I get to BKK very early the next day/same return, late from BKK, early LHR. Two days not wasted going to airports that way.
