Warning: Internet Cafés in Pattaya and Thailand

Thanks much!!! This has been something I've been thinking about lately a great deal.

 

When I get over initially I'll be using cafes for my computer related stuff. Eventually I'll be using my own. I'm planning on getting with an expert so I can safegaurd my stuff. I'm reading more and more about this and it is scary.

 

All of you computer morons (like me) pay attention to this. BE CAREFUL. Learn how to safeguard your computer usage when in these cafes, and any computer for that matter. These bastards can wreck your life.

Anti virus programmes are of no use against some keyloggers as they are legitimate programs being put to an illigitimate use. In fact I'm sorry but id be wary of people offering to scan in front of me as all antiviri have an ignore function that you can set to ignore certain applications anyway

 

Such programs as Starr are freely available and can be installed invisibly to montitor kids activity or by employers to monitor workers. These programs take screen shots of all activity and monitor keystrokes but without you being able to detect it via an AV or most firewalls including zone alarm.

 

 

There are also hardware keyloggers that can be attached to the usb or in line with the keyboard cable these monitor all activity without showing up as running processes.

 

short answer never use any machine that you dont own to acess email or banking and then only with a dial up connection that you initiated.
