99% of the time PA is fine and an almost instantaneous download; occasionally the site does take a long time to respond and comes up with some sort of server error. This only happens very occasionally.

During the last two weeks holiday I have been on the site 2 or 3 times a day and yes sometimes it is slow, like 999baht says, you click on something and it just seems to hang until the refresh is clicked, other times I have just though fuck it, clicked another site from my bookmarks and its been there instantly, I am not no computer expert, far from it, but that`s enough to tell me the problems are not my end.

I have no problems with the PA site. My only problem is the Thai internet where I'm at, that works at highly variable speeds throughout the day and night, when it works that is.

 

A bit off the subject, but what time zone is PA on?

I used to have this issue all the time with PA but it turned out it was nothing to do with this site but my desktop PC that was the issue. I only access this site via an iPad now and I never have any issues with speed.

to be honoust , also for me PA is the slowest loading , other similar Th forums quicker , as you check with http://www.abine.com/dntdetail.php a tracker blocker program you can see how many tracking sites are following you on PA ......!! and by using http://www.abine.com/dntdetail.php ( do not track me) it loads a lot slower ......(looks like the are running scripts)

When I am in the UK I have access to fibre optic broadband with speeds of over 50 mbps. Even with that it still works slowly sometimes, and as someone else mentioned, no problems with other websites.

Had a problem a year or so ago....I tried Firefox and Google Chrome. Seemed to be quicker for me using Google Chrome. Try it...you have nothing to lose.

some things could be affecting the slowness....

1) spyware/malware on your system?

2) outdated system or out of memory issues? (check windows event logs to see if any errors...)

 

usually when a certain sight is slow but others load up normally (ie, espn, yahoo, cnn, etc) it may signal a dsn issue between your internet provider and the site.

if you're on windows, you can load up a command prompt and do a trace to see where it is breaking down (google "traceroute windows") on how to use it. basically it'll show you where it is slowing down, here's an example for me:

Hmm I doubt that the problems today are related but it's kinda ironic that we were talking about it only yesterday then PA went down for 6 or so hours.

It has been terrible here today.  I have tried on five different computers, running different operating systems and different ISP's.  Lots of 500 Internal Server Errors which is a PA problem.
