Damn...read this too late :( Booked for Dec. Hope things cool down by then because I have heard good things about the place.

Both hotels are awesome places to stay. Normally my first choice. Just not now:(

Still extremely noisy?

Yeah any update? I'm booked in two weeks time, Need to know if I should cancel.

I have now stayed 1.5 days in Sea Me Spring (in a room away from the building site).

The noise situation seems bearable at the moment:

Yesterday afternoon/early evening there were a few minutes of metal-on-metal banging sound. Today it has been quiet.

... Tuesday was a Thai holiday ... how's the noise now? ... any late night work to make up for the lost time over the holiday?

There is noise. Quite irregular and tends not to last very long.

Ultimately it is bearable/ok for a 6 day stay - to me. Any longer than that I would perhaps bother do the research to find out alternatives.

Regarding alternatives:

Page 10 tends to be fully booked when on a short notice. The Stay has outdated sorry-looking rooms. Is there a good other option for nicely located, modern nice rooms at around 2000 THB/night?

... you say the noise is "bearable/ok for a 6 day stay" ... still, you seem to be looking elsewhere right now.

... I read that there are a couple of forum members out there on final approach into Pattaya who are wondering if they should take the risk on See Me Spring Too ... knowing what you now know, would you re-book at another place? ... definately? ... maybe? ... no?

Thanks for the update strawberrypi.

I'm arriving next Sunday. Booked in for 3 weeks. I think I'll chance it. I don't think I'll mind too much if the noise isn't continuous.

I do usually get up around 7am anyway. I was intending to spend a good bit of the day round the pool. I liked the pictures of the view out to sea which is why I booked SMS2. If the noise is intermittent, I suppose I can retreat to my room when it starts.

I'll see how it goes. Might reconsider my February booking after that.

Iv'e got just over 2 weeks at Seame Spring too in December then heading so Baan Sila on Soi 11 for another couple of weeks. A little bit of noise doesn't bother me, i hear enough things without it anyways... Plus i'm not usually in the hotel unless i'm sleeping or doing cardio. :)

Just walked past they are digging with large earth moving equipment. Ie a Bulldozer. Project doesn't seemed to have progressed much since my last visit on October. Lots of steel for concrete reinforcement also around.i suspect noisy but not as bad as pile driving.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1357800813.935559.jpg

Bump Bump !

Work is progressing real slowly. In 9 months not a lot of progress. But didn't seem overly noisy? In fact there was more noise associated with the beach road widening project.....
