Hua Hin, check it out. Condos are more expensive than Pattaya but its a great place.

++++ ! IIWY I'd rule out Pattaya (too crazy) and Phuket (too overrun w/tourists and expensive) HH is a nice clean little beach town. Great golf, good restaurants and some OK bars. Big expat community so there have to be some good Int. Schools. Maybe another 1/2 hr from BKK than Pats. Like someone said before, Cha Am is a good choice as well. Remember, there's no beach in Pattaya either - unless you want to come down with ebola or some other 'flesh eating bacteria'. wj
