Well that's heaps, I doubt if I could spend that much in a day/night. Unless you stayed in an incredibly expensive hotel.

The hotel is paid for already. I want to hire a jet ski most days, go to Ko Tao and Phangan(?). i don't drink alot so maybe i dont need as much. Just trying to work out if a day in Samui is cheaper than a day in Patts, seems it is.

In Patts most of these heavy budgets get blown in gogo bars and paying gals. At Samui you'll be more likely to have a few quiet beers at a beachside bar. Be careful with the jetskis. Terrible scams at Patts and Phuket. I've not heard of these scams at Samui but who knows.

It definitely is and the bar fines and long time prices are cheaper than what you would pay in Pattaya.

Yeah, i have read alot about the scams, i have hired jet skis loads of times and have never had a problem but there's always a first time. Aren't all the jet skis on Lamai beach owned by an Aussie company anyway?

Last time that i was in Pattaya i was usually paying bar fines of 2-300 baht and 1,000 baht for LT.

I would imagine September being low season it's gonna be even cheaper. What are the going prices for bar fines and LT in Samui then? Tbh i am happy to give them 1,000 anyway.

The going rate may be higher than 1K so a bit of bartering may be needed, some might ask 2K if they think they might get it, all depends on the girl but you sound like a charming man so I'm sure you will use it. 5555

In Chaweng I found one I liked and had her on 5 different nights, she was happy with 1K. Then in Lamai I found another one I really liked and think I saw her for 12 nights, gave her the same.....a bit more GFE was my experience of Samui. Like I said earlier it was quiet when I was there, lots of girls with no customers in bars.

If I go this year it will be in August so will let you know what it's like. There is nothing to gain in booking too far ahead for me as I think you get a better price a couple of weeks before you go and I would leave the return flight flexible if the weather was bad or I wasn't enjoying it.

Yes, tell us about your trip, that would be great. Bwwen told that September is a great month to be there.

I'm more than happy to give them 1,000 baht, don't like tightness or stinginess. Happy to stick with a good one for days, i think that deeper connection gives a more rewarding experience for sure. Are there any decent go-gos do you know?

A charming man?! - well i regularly get called a paguan so maybe that's true.55

Agreed but to some 1K is seen as being stingy these days....

No gogos in Lamai, had one night in a nightclub called Fusion but that doesn't get busy til the bars have shut. You have have a group of beer bars together then more further up the road down a couple of sois. Barfines were all 300. I'm sure they'll all be grateful of your custom. :GrinNod1:

Way too long, too expensive and too quiet. It's really nice, but it's not THAAAT nice.

The quiet appeals to me tbh, i've seen enough on youtubeso see its lively enough for me, i wanna be on the beaches. There are more than 100 bars in Lamai alone-more than enough for me :ThumbUp6:

Good to see you think its really nice anyway. :GoldenSmile1:

Are there any bars in Chaweng? A girl I was meant to be meeting up with in Bangkok has just told me she is moving to Samui, Chaweng so I'm thinking to spend a week there after Phuket in December.

So many bars at Chewang. It's the bar capital of Samui, couldn't even begin to give an estimate of the number of bars there. So if you're looking for this gal you better get a name of her bar, or some indication of where to look, or you'll be spending your entire holiday walking around looking for her.

Been to Chewang Samui many times & love the place, normally do 8-10 nights there.

Going to stay at Lamai when i next go in January, had a couple of nights there last time & really

enjoyed the buzz there.

Loads of small beer bars all close to each other, more like Pattaya.
