serviced apartment for 4-6months stay? 100$ for best answer

Hi, I'm planning to stay in Pattaya for 4-6 months, starting next month, and I was wondering if anyone here has any experience renting condos/serviced apartments. A serviced apartments concept like http://www.novaparkpattaya.com looks ideal. I've never stayed there before but they seem to have more or less exactly what I'm looking for, except that I'm not very impressed with the standard/stylishness of the rooms. I also know from experience it's good to ask/look around and not just jump on the first thing I find, which is the reason why I'm making this thread :)

If anyone has any experience with something like this and can link me to some sites that would be amazing :)

As an extra incentive to help me, If you find something that I like better than http://www.novaparkpattaya.com, and I decide to stay where you recommended, I'll send you 100$ through paypal/moneybookers. Obviously you have no way to know if I'll actually do this, but I promise you I will.

I'm looking to stay somewhere within central pattaya, but if there's some really really good value apartments outside of central pattaya then I will consider them. My price range is 20-50k/month. For a place I really like I can got a bit higher I guess.

I doubt you would be able to get 4 to 6 months with Dancewatchers in VT6 but worth a try if you can, the LK group have some nice hotels and serviced apartments you can check them out here http://www.lkpattaya.com/. Check the items for sale or rent section there are many condo's available for rent long term and many have maid services you can order on demand. Check out this place as well, http://ktkpattaya.com/.

You can definitely do better then Nova Park for that budget. If I helped you out you can donate the $100 to this forum and become a power user at the same time. Good luck with your search.

This post is full of win. The best answer so far.

The Dancewatchers site was also good, so thanks to endi1 for that one.

No disrespect but I'm just wondering why you feel the need to offer a $100 reward?

The best advice I've had off here has always been free and long may it stay that way.

In fact your offer of $100 actually puts me off even thinking about suitable accommodation that may suit your needs.

Hope you find what your looking for

I'm sorry you feel that way. The reason I do it is that good accommodation is very important to me, and I like to reward helpfulness.

If you feel like helping me just so you can get a 100$ reward would compromise your integrity, I'd be happy to donate the 100$ to charity if you help me and your answer wins ;)

Have you looked in the items for sale or rent section on here?

Lots of very nice apartments in your wide price range being advertised in that part of the forum in recent weeks

If that suits send the $95 to the orphanage and buy me a bottle of beer in June

Been renting the very same condo for 3 months for the previous 3 years in South Pattaya and I'm very satisfied. PM me if you're looking for a 75 sq. mtr apartment with one bedroom.

+1

I recently stayed 4+ months at a Dancewatchers condo in VT6 and can't wait to do it again. Lots of BMs, including myself, have posted reviews - just search Dancewatchers on the subject line.

Also, Dancewatchers has a lot of condos in several different buildings. On a prior trip I booked several different condos during the course of my stay and really enjoyed the variety and change of scenery from the different locations. So, that's another option you might consider as opposed to staying in the same room the whole time.

Perfecting my ability to "let that which does not matter truly slide"

I was a property agent in Bangkok for 2 years (now I stay in Pattaya and do computer graphics work). Location is the first thing to consider, given such a wide budget range, there will be no problem finding a nice place, so where exactly where do you want to stay, will you rent a car or motorbike (I don't recommend driving here) or do you want to be walking distance to Walking Street etc or what, 1 bed room or what size? After you decide these issues then it's just a matter of searching all available properties in that area. You might consider View Talay 6 right next to the new huge Central Festival Mall on the beach and walking distance to entertainment areas including Walking Street, that would be my first choice. I would not waste time searching anywhere as far out as Nova Park, staying close to the beach in central south Pattaya is the best way to go, and I would not go near Jomtien, location location location..feel free to contact me for more info. By the way normal commission for property agents in Bangkok is 10% of the monthly rental for short term and 1/2 a month for 6 month terms and a full month commission for 1 year contract (I have lived in Pattaya 3 years and Bangkok 2 years).

It really does depend on what you want. I stayed in Central Pattaya for a month but got fed up with the constant noise so moved away to a condo on Phratamnak soi4, opposite Kinnaree Place. It was a fully serviced, very new and well decorated 1 bed apartment for 15k per month. The building only has 7 condos so it's nice and private and there are two swimming pools. There's also no problems with taking girls back at any time of the day or night.

The only problem is it's a little way out but I rented a bike and there are always plenty of taxis.
