Japanese iPhone 4S

Recommended Posts

I work in Tokyo, Japan and am wondering if I can use the Japanese iPhone 4S in Thailand? It has a pocket for a sim card. I have a Thai cell that is about 4 years old and I would like use the Thai phone sim card if possible.

Also, is it safe to charge an iPad/iPhone in the wall socket at a hotel? I'm worried about the different voltage. Please advise, thanks ... zarusoba

yes it's ok to charge iphone and ipad. you will need a micro sim for the iphone 4s, you can get one at the airport from the true shop..

I work hard to support those on benefits! :Banghead2:

Thanks Neo1011 for the reply. This maybe a silly question but here it goes. When I return to Japan do I just insert my original Japanese sim card and everything will work again with no issues or will I be screwed? Any ideas ... zarusoba

i don't know how it works in japan but if your phone is not locked to you service provider everything will work ok.

the sim is only used for phone signal and 3g so it will not change anything on your phone.

if your phone is locked then you can not use it with a different sim card. you can ask the company who you pay for calls and they can tell you if it's unlocked.

If your phone isn't locked to any carrier then it will work in Thailand and back to your home land. No issue.

All Thai Mobile operator does have micro sim so no problem with Iphone.

Cheers!!
