Chiang Mai Maninarakorn Dec 2011. Great location with easy walk to night markets and Loi Krow bar areas. Good reviews on trip advisor but not as nice as some other places we stayed, not that anything was bad just not as exceptional as others. Its a bigger hotel than most we stayed so i put it down to slightly impersonal compared to the really friendly we got elsewhere. Std room size was well above average but housecleaning was ok but again not exceptional. Didn't eat here for anything but breakfast, again ok but not exceptional. Room across the hall was a suite that I checked out while housecleaning where doing their thing, looked much nicer than our std room. Big negative here is thin walls, better hope your GF not a screamer or you can expect some interesting looks from your neighbours. Not sure about GF or JF but they dont mind sending house keeping up to open doors in the wee small hours (one key again). Verdict great location, fair price but i will probably shop around again for next visit as im sure there is better to be had.
