I hope this doesnt read too much like an advertisment but having just used these guys again I am keen to give them a massive thumbs up.

 

Often maligned (because of a crash in Phuket in 2007 and old aircraft) they dont feature in comparison websites and are often over looked in favour of Nokair or Air Asia for internal travel. But I love them, despite being low cost (1000 baht typical fare) they offer a full service avoiding all the Ryanair like add ons of the 2 other mentioned airlines.

 

- Free baggage

- Free drink and snack

- No card fees

 

Sure they use old MD80 aircraft but to me these are actually more comfortable and a throw back also to the day when passengers were treated with respect.

 

If you are going internally give them a try....

Was looking at them for March, tickets BKK-CNX about B1550 each way, but agree that their baggage-allowance of 20 kgs is good, however AirAsia & NokAir do fly several times per-day, while OT are only three times daily, so less choice of flight-times.

 

Their domestic-routes expected to switch back to DMK (Don Muang) once the flood-damage is repaired, as are NokAir, which means changing airports if you're connecting to/from an international-flight. Air Asia use Swampy for both domestic and international.
