Scuba Diving in Pattaya ?

Never heard much about it but wondering what it's like.

I'm a DM so I get free diving out in Koh Tao but love Patts so much just curious about the scene there.

Anyone got any cues for me?

Terrible, IMHO (long trips to reach dive sites, poor visibility, etc)

Especially if you are used to Koh Tao.

I also love diving but will never dive again in Pattaya.

Viz is not fantastic on the near islands but much better on the far islands. Like Koh Tao and Koh Phangan the viz can drop to crap but is ok for diving. Try Mermaids in Jontiem or Aquanauts in Soi 6 (great place for a dive shop ) they are the best local and most professional outfits in my opinion.

I own the Pattaya Dive Centre, we have dive trips to the ship wrecks and reefs everyday. Yes some times the viz is not great but we have great wreck dives on the right day.
