UK dual-band mobile - will it work in Thailand?

Hi,

Quick question - I have a dual band mobile phone bought in the UK - will it work in Thailand?

The phone is curently locked to Orange, so if the answer to the above question is yes then I'll need to get it unlocked somewhere, unless one of the Thai networks have some sort of agreement with Orange?

Thank you in advance if anyone can help!

Dual-band on Orange UK means 900/1800MHz. According to this list, you should be fine with AIS, True Move or DTAC, provided, of course, that you get your phone unlocked. I'm not very familiar with UK mobile phone market, but it stands to reason that if you've had your phone for a while, Orange will unlock it for you, though they may want to charge a fee.

You will get it unlocked in Thailand no problem there are hundreds of places to get it done.
