I am looking for recommendations on where you can take "basics introduction courses to computers and the Internet" in Jointiem/Pattaya.

Lesson over the Internet will not work because its for a friend of mine who dose not even know how to turn on the computer. He will be spending the next six months in Pattaya and want to learn computer basics in English.

My friend is a Farang.

Not sure what basic computing means. In all honesty your friend should just sit there and bang on the machine. Its the best way to learn. Most operating systems are idiot proof these days so there isn't a chance for any lasting damaging. The biggest issue is surfing the web and using common sense. Just because something is free doesn't mean its free and anything asking for your personal information or email address should be a cause for concern.

This may not be true if done via webcam! Demonstration can be "highly visual" as well as oral, remote access could be installed etc.
