Android Apps for Translating Thai?

I am looking for an Android application to translate English <--> Thai. Preferably one that does not rely on an internet connection. Has anyone had any experience with this type of application on an Android phone?

I played with a few. Just do a search in the marketplace. However I think they all require a internet connection because storing that much data isn't feasible on a app.

I downloaded a couple and it seems that you are right. The best that I could do was one that kept an offline dictionary. I'm going to take a look at my new Nokia instead. There is supposed to be one for that phone.

Nokia uses their own OS but I suspect you are going to run into the same problem with storing that much data on a phone.

I'm looking for one with the corresponding phonetic pronunciations if anyone knows one. I've got a few but most just show the Thais words not how to pronounce them (and yes I do have thai hostess on my tablet)

I have Learn Thai Pro - Which is prett good.

I agree with S1mon, but i only have Learn Thai Lite for free from Android Market and will now be looking to buy the Pro. Is Pro offline S1mon? As Lite is.

Learn Thai Numbers is an offline freebie as well.

Offline Dictionaries gives translation like a Dictionary, which is sometimes handy for odd words.

Has just recently completed their Android app.

I bought it last week, and it works perfectly.

It does words (150,000) not phrases, but it really helps my GF and I communicate.

adeelarshad82 writes "This year's Mobile World Congress was the stage for dozens of new cheap android tablet. Unfortunately, Android Honeycomb tablets lacked presence; amongst the top Android tablets demonstrated at the show, only the Motorola Xoom was running Honeycomb, whereas others were running either Android 2.3 or older versions. Moreover, most of the top apps announced for the OS were not new, just reworked. Gigaom may believe that Honeycomb tablets will be Ipad's true competition , but R4i SDHC progress has been slow, in my opinion. Honeycomb was born too early, primarily out pressure from the iPad getting a one year headstart in the tablet market."
