Micro Sim in Thailand?

Hi guys,

 

I'm thinking of taking my iPad to Patts when I come over, purely for surviving hangovers before the bars open.

 

Does anyone know if I can get a local micro sim so I can access email etc..instead of searching for decent wifi.

My mate tells me at christmas they were handing them out at the BANGKOK airport

so should be fine

Microsim is exactly same as normal sim card in the chip!

You just need to buy a normal sim with internet, and cut it to shape.

There are even special made cutting tools (looks like a stapler) to punch it out to the right shape!

i just cut the normal Happy/DTAC sim cards that they give at the airport with a pair of scissors

 

print this template to correct size, mark the cuts with a pencil and then cut, practice on some void sim cards to get the hang of it, pretty easy afterwards

You can cut normal sim to micro for 50 baht, or do it by yourself with scissors like I did)
