Buy one back home , cheaper and you got warranty .

It's also better to practice a little before you gonna make real pictures .

Airport so called duty free is not much cheaper (if any) as you can find better deals doing some searches online. I'd buy one from somewhere like Jessops where the staff know a little about what they are selling and if not will find out for you. As mentioned above, better to have a play around before hand and get used to it!

Don't know UK prices but I would buy one at home. Electronics in Asia are expensive and anything cheap is usually fake garbage. I would get something a week or two before you go so you have some time to get used to camera so you aren't fumbling around when you want to take a pic.
