Has anyone stayed at this hotel on Soi 8? How good is it and also is it girl friendly? Newbie here thanks....

staying there oct29 to nov 05 its girl friendly and from wat every 1s told me here a good location and nice hotel but as of yet never been there is my first trip to los hope u enjoy ur holiday mate have a good one

It's a nice hotel aye, I stayed there on my first trip in June last year. Took two girls back once and was fine although I think more than two might be a prob. Only thing is you have to pay 250 baht per guest if you go for the free breakfast. Well there was a free breakfast buffet thing when I stayed.

 

Bit nosey when I was staying due to the construction of the new wing but seemed a bit quieter on last two trips in October and May. No swimming pool at the moment either. Only prob is the bars across from it, I was a newbie on first trip and they smelt me as soon as I got out of the taxi lol

 

It is in one of my fav Sois but my advice is if you haven't booked yet try for a guesthouse, they usually have bars on the ground floor with girls working which is a hell of a lot friendlier than a faceless hotel lobby, imo anyway. Not sure if any that I know of are on Soi 8 but there are some on Soi 7 about 2 mins walk from the Sunshine Hotel

u said u paid 250 per girl did u book a room for 2 or just 1 i booked my room for 2 ppl thinking this might stop the extra guest charge just wondering

No wasn't a joined fee, if I didn't take breakfast there I didn't owe them anything. The two girls where st anyway but when I brought a girl with me for breakfast there it was free for me but 250 for her. I booked both flight and hotel together so was only for one, maybe if you book for two its different, good point

I can confirm that if you book 2 people to the room, you're entitled to 2 breakfast's in the morning. My trouble was always getting up in time to partake, as I believe it shuts down at 10:30.

 

It's a nice enough hotel and very convenient, I've stayed there twice so far and I'm booked there for my upcoming Dec/Jan trip.

 

The construction on the new wing should be complete by then...

 

I stayed here last year. Good location but no wifi. breakfast never used always eat at Sailor bar...good food and cheap.

 

No swimming pool at that time.

Stayed there last year and although the location was good the hotel was becoming very tired. I managed to get a room for 1000baht a night, maybe at this price its worth considering, but i have just checked prices for November and the best I found was 1,470baht at directrooms.com At this price definitely not worth it. When you can get August Suites on Pattaya Klang at 1,700baht its quite amazing why anyone would even consider stay here.
