AV switcher

Tucson

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can get an AV connecter that I can plug my DVD,GAME,COMPUTER into. I have bought 2 and they are both cheap Tutcom stuff that doesn't work. Well they work, but it produces a loud buzzing in Sat TV mode. Is there somewhere that sells up-market things like this.

Not sure if they are available in Thailand, but Radio Shack (I know) do a 5 channel AV switcher. I bought one a few weeks ago and it works fine. Cost, about 1,000 baht. Only problem was it came with a 120v power supply. The shop here gave me a 240v power supply to go with it for free.

Radio Shack catalogue No. 15-314.

Apparently there's a Radio Shack at Fashion island, Ramintra Road, Bangkok.

Hope this helps

There are only 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't !!!

most modern decent LCD/LED TV models will offer several inputs (VGA, RCA or HDMI) you can plug in all your computer, gaming platform and dvd player then use the tv itself as switcher.

i'm currently laptop>LCDTV (samsung) via HDMI as my main monitor and it's working excellently and i still have VGA (analog), RCA and other HDMI ports available.

LOS!

This brand "ATEN" is particularly good, this particular one for HDMI, but they have several others for all types of applications.

Macro-Care in Pantip or Fortune IT Mall in Bangkok usually have the whole range.

I thought that name sounded familiar. I have an Aten Master View CPU switch on my desk. It's really old and works flawlessly. The newer stuff may not be as good but can't be bad.

Their newer stuff is really solid, is fairly expensive, but the switching in particular is very precise and strong.
