Krabi Scenes 1980s

Here's some more from Krabi this time - various parts of Krabi - Ao Nang, Railay, Klong Muang, Koh Lanta. All taken mid 1980s. IMO Krabi is the most beautiful province in Thailand, some truly stunning scenery around Krabi.

These were all from low-speed tranny film that i shot for travel features, so they were ISO 50-64 and were saturated as the features editors requested saturated images. I nearly always used a PL filter and often used grad filters to bump up a weak washed-out sky. During the process of digitalizing the trannies I gave most an extra boost of saturation with the software I have.

Yeah, been some changes - mostly for the worst - down that way. I was last in Krabi about 3 years ago and it was still very nice out at Railay, a bit more built up but the magnificent scenery hasn't changed.

Sorry to say you'll be disapointed if you ever get back, I've been here for 7 yrs now and certainly Ao Nang is like a mini Phuket (without all the fun places!) and Railay is now built up with resorts too! Scenery is still beautiful though!

Nice Photo's, I am sure you would have seen tons of change in Krabi in over 30 years? I have seen BKK for the first time in 1988 and today there are tons of change, for one the transit is much better.

Loved the video Plahgat, its certainly different these days in Ao Nang, Krabi still looks the same mind, lol!

This place is all built up nowadays with more and more expansion making the town spread outwards, but on a progressive note we have 2 gogo's now and a Ladyboy Cabaret and almost an International Hospital!
