hypothetical pregnancy situation

hey all, i just had this stupid question that hopefully somebody will answer for me. i rarely cum inside the box and always wear a condom, but like they say the condom is never 100% effective. the other day i did cum inside a girl and it got me to thinking: what happens if you accidentally got a bargirl pregnant? surely there cant be any paternal liability on the man's part, because he paid for the service. and hopefully all the girls are on birth control anyway. but paying for sex must mean that they would have no claim against a guy, right?

WTF!!! Am I reading this correctly. I sincerely hope this is a wind up. Are you telling me that if you happened to make a thai girl pregnant albeit accidentally and had a son or daughter (your own flesh and blood) you would happily turn your back on him/her just because you were not in a loving relationship with his/her mother. Not to mention leaving the lady to bring up the child and pay for his/her every need throughout his/her life. Dont forget it takes 2 to tango, just because you call it a mistake, the lady has to face the music is that what you are saying. If this is not a wind up you are one cold hearted heartless ************** I suggest you be very careful about saying horrible things like this on this forum, I for one wouldnt want to shake your hand if i ever met you. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you ready to get some criticism?

I would hope that if you did get a girl pregnant and you proved that it was yours then you would do the responsible thing and help her and the baby.

I'm sure many people have not...in fact I'm sure many people do not even know that they have children!

Always be safe bro.

Direct quote from a Stickman article on your topic:

"If you became a Daddy and decided to go back to your home country you are not going to avoid taking care of the child that you leave behind. Many fathers have been successfully pursued in their home countries for child support which is then sent back to the home country of the mother and child.

Here is how it works: Either the public child support office, or a private company will file legal action against you in your home country for a decree / order / judgement of paternity. You get hauled into court, and if you are wise, you will demand a DNA test. You do not have to pay for this test unless the test comes back showing that there is a conclusive probability that you are the father. Typically, the "probability" must be in excess of 96% -- higher in some countries. DNA tests do not ever come back with a rating of 100% -- typically 99.0% plus. What this means is that 99% (or whatever the "probability" percentage is) of the population is definitely excluded from being the father of the child.

Once the DNA tests are conducted, then your next court date is to establish a child support award. This is where the "shocker" comes -- the child support will be established according to the child support guidelines of your country. The economy of Thailand will not be considered at all. All that will be looked at is how much money the mother makes / earns each month. That amount will be converted to the currency of your country.

How much can you expect to pay? Figure an "average" of 20% of your net monthly income -- in other words the amount you take home after taxes. For example, if you have a net income of USD $4,000 per month -- at today's exchange rate, you would end up paying 31,900 baht each month (USD$800.00).

Think that you can get the child support reduced by tossing in your costs to go and see the child, or to bring the child to your country to visit? It isn't going to happen. The reason is that the courts in your country can not order or require the mother to provide visitation or access to the child because those courts do not have jurisdiction over the mother and child. If you want visitation, or wish to try to obtain custody of the child, you will have to come to Thailand and pursue those issues through the Thai courts.

Thailand is not currently a signatory of the Hague Convention on Child Support. However, over the next few years, they most likely will become a signatory given the new role that Thailand is playing in the world. Thailand is coming under increased pressure from various NGO's and governments around the world to firm up their child support laws.

What are the odds of you getting nailed for child support either in Thailand or back in your home country? Today, the odds are in your favor. However, in 12 to 18 months the odds will probably start changing.

Again - for the best protection - and for the benefit of everyone - including a child that you might bring into this world - wrap that rascal. If you really want a child, then check out any one of the hundreds of orphanages around LOS - you will find thousands of kids that are looking for an opportunity. "

To be honest, getting a BG pregnant is no different to getting any other one-night stand pregnant. You have a bloody good chance of being pursued to maintain the child and, if it's your child, morally you should be fronting-up any way. I understand where you're coming from, concern that a paid nocturnal excursion will turn into an 18 year financial drain, it's just a little unfortunate that you didn't phrase things a little more diplomatically in your OP. We may be a bunch of Mongers, but for many of us that's a decision made after life has kicked the shite out of us, and for the most part we're a pretty decent bunch of blokes who still adhere to good standards in our way of life.

Hope the quote answered your questions though.

Cheers

Actually DNA tests can always be 100% negative, e.g. proving you are not the father. This is because when you are not the results are hugely different as your DNA is not 1/2 of the baby's. That makes a result that even a layman can see in the gel. If you are the father, modern DNA testing will be always 99%+ depending on how many alleles they check. Suffice it to say if they say it's positive , it's positive to such a high statistical probablity that you better prove your cousin fucked her too.

I got a vasectomy in 2007 and I carry two independent lab tests to prove it.

To the OP: you're paying to have sex, responsibly not to get a girl pregnant, infect her with an STD etc. It's not some orifice that yo ucan do what you want with. Take some responsibility.

And don't count out the risk that a girl who says she's on contraception is trying to set you up. Every Latin American girl I have known has tried to pull this off. I had to actually buy the shot and pay a nurse to inject it until I got the vasectomy.

ok thanks everybody for the responses. just a question, i didn't think i would be the first guy to have this thought cross his mind.

perthie, thanks for the input, it was very informative. sorry i didnt phrase it better, i didnt mean to offend or imply that my fellow mongers were bad people. i was honestly expecting a very different answer, i guess that shows what i know.

reg, thats a pretty harsh reply. i just hope i can somehow find the will to go on living. the only thing that's kept me going all these years is the hope that one day i would be able to meet you and shake your hand, but now...
