Electronic music scene ?

Recommended Posts

Hi !!

I wonder how the electronic music scene is in Thailand ?

Is there many bands or artists who play this kind of music (minimal, dance, disco, electro-pop, house, drum'n bass etc... )?

If you know some clubs or bar that play this kind of music you can post it here !

also if you know some artist or band from Thailand I'll be very happy to check them out !

I'll do some research to find some underground electronic music, I'll post the results here.

Cheers !!

LMAO

What scene?

There is a very small movement in Bkk but most everything is commercial dance as in LMAO "Everybodies shufflin"

Which BTW I think is a very good commercial release!

Some of the clubs can play a decent set here and there in Pattaya, mostly its cheese electro pop, hip pop, r'n'b pop commercial commercial commercial.

Bkk has a few more options.

But "underground music scene"

cant find it, should have by now,

If you do find something let me know ! ! ! !

Who is fit to govern others?

He who governs himself. ?

You might as well have said: nobody.

"sometimes international dj's" ??

are you joking? the problem with pattaya (walking street) .. from a music point of view is it's older men 30+ who don't really care much about the music (i cant blame them). in places like koh samui they have huge dj's... i could name a few but yeah.... koh samui is aimed at the younger 'party' crowd. of course, there's a lot of young people here.. but they're not here for the music scene.

there is no decent techno here..? not that i know of... and no chance in hell of minimal!

i wish there was man!

Really, no minimal or techno (not hardstyle) ? That sucks !!

Mixxx Club and Insomnia I know them by reputation, but I think they play mostly charts and this kind of stuff.

I checked LMAO, and it's cool cheers:

Also if you know electronic festival, I'm found of it !! I usually prefer to see live artists of band than djs (appart awesome djs with lots of techniques)

I found that in Pattaya, anyone knows it ? http://zoom-festival.com/

but yeah no dedicated techno or even house clubs.. must be a club that plays strictly house?

you need to get to samui for some decent music tbf. beach party with steve mac july 30th. that will be a good one.

Ha ha, older men 30+. I am 40 so that makes me feel really old. You must be in your very early 20's. I absolutely love trance, techno. Been listening to it when Oakenfold was actually good and Ministry of Sound used to make great cd's... These days It's Armin Van Buuren or Above and Beyond for me mainly.

I went to Lucifer Disco once, hated it. Only play hip hop. Also I have a problem with wearing sunglasses in a night club. Seems like the cool thing to do these days but I want to be able to see where I am going and not trip down the stairs!!

Mixx is a good place. If you are interested in Go Go bars that only play trance and tecnho the Iron Club and What's Up club in Walking Street are the only places I go to because the music is so great.. Although I am sure there are more that do..
