flight entertainment on thai airways

i just was wondering if anyone has fly with thai airways recently and whether or not they have got the tv screens on the back of the seats yet or whether it is still just the big screen at the front - i am flying to los end of july, i always fly with EVA but their price for then is 1235 which is way over the mark - i can get thai airways for 860 but i want to know if there is in flight entertainment - its a long old flight if you aint got a tv to watch a few movies on the way - thanks in advance

If you enter your flight number at www.seatguru.com, you can get info on the plane, seats, personal entertainment, etc. It's a nice site to get info on where to sit/where not to sit

 

On my last flight on Thai, all seats had personal TVs

if you are flying from britain the answer is no. i flew with them in april, older planes which means no up to date ife on backs of seats.

Generally entertainment system sucks on the old 747 but service, and IMO food, is top notch. Regardless of carrier I always bring my iPad and lap fully loaded

Really depends on what route you are flying.

To/from Melbourne there are 2 flights daily, one with IFE and one without.

They have ordered new aircraft and are slowly (the Thai way) updating their current fleet.
