Firefox 5

I've recently installed Firefox 5

 

Very impressed, cleaner interface, much faster than previous versions and no crashes or even slow downs yet.

Unlike 4- I experienced problems on a number of sites ! The problem with the fast roll-out of new versions is that add-ons, 1 Password, etc do not work. Unfortunately I'll have to wait until everything catches up again.

I uninstalled the last one too because of some problems. Mostly using Chrome now but i'll maybe see if the new version of firefox is any better.

Firefox 5 is great but I've been using Chrome for a few months and haven't looked back since. Great and fast browser and clean interface with only the essential features: tabs, search bar, bookmarks and that's all. No dozens of BS useless buttons.

Used Firefox 5.0 short time, couldn't log onto here on P-A and many other places was soo slow.

I have now reinstalled Firefox 4.0.1 and all working 100 %.

Some reports on TV also about different issues with version 5.0

A lot of websites do not cope well yet with Firefox 5....you may find streaming websites sometimes struggle

FireFox 4 was a complete balls up and I went to Chrome as well but it does not have NoScript (damn tough security add on), so as soon as FF5 came out I had to go back.

Firefox 6.0 is now available for download. It says it is a pre-release I think, but apparently it is the public version. Have used it for a few days - there are no major interface changes but it does seem faster.
