Keeping fit in Soi Backeaw

Where can I workout in Soi Backeaw? I tend to lead an unfit life style at home, but try to boost my health when I come to Thailand after all its more enjoyable going for a walk in the sun as opposed to the gail force winds with rain cutting your face to bits, I first notice my unfittness with my first bargirl when I'm sweating like someone in a sauna while doing the dirty dead, this of course improves and towards the end of my trip I'm banging away like a porn star into the early hours and beyond, I try to book a room with stairs as this helps in the exercise department and of course the amount of water you have to drink in the Thai climate helps to purge the body, but I was wondering if there was somewhere for a swim and a light workout in the area?

This was convenient for me last January when I stayed at Pattaya Bay Resort. It was about 10 minute walk from the hotel and is EASY to miss. They use plenty of fans but no air-con. It faces the soi so if you use cardio machines you'll be facing the soi and any action that passes in front of the gym. Free weights in the back. Not a fancy place but I was looking for a sweat farm and I found it. Cost in Jan/Feb 2011, was 60 baht per day/visit.

Are the weights all "Free Weights", do they have any stack and rack machines or plate loaded machines ?, ie cable type or Smiths machine.

Do they do a weekly or monthly membership ?.

Thanks in advance

If you sweat buckets like myself I wouldn't recommend as has been mentioned no AC but it is adequately equipped
