Hi Guys,

will be coming to pattaya next month and based on what i've read on this forum, i've narrowed down to those 3 hotels. which would you guys recomend? i suppose they are all decent places but i'd like to be within very few steps of 7/11, restaurants, shopping, Walking Street (though not too close as i dont want girls seeing me arrive with other girls)

thanks for any info.

I'm currently staying at April Suites, August is just 1 min away from there, and what I can say is that the location is really nice from my point of view. Not noisy at all, few shops nearby, bath buses next door, 10-15 min walking distance from Beach Road and just few minutes from WS with a motorbike.

Small swimming pool but lovely fitness facilities and sauna. Staff is really great, they all speak not so bad english at the reception desk.

August is a little bit more expensive than April but I don't know if it's worth it or not...

The room are quite Ok, new hotel so it's fresh design. Bathroom are big enough with a really nice shower.

Can't help you with the last hotel.

I just stayed at the Baboona last month - really nice, clean and spacious, modern and comfortable. Breakfast and wifi are included in the rates (I got it for ~1600b/night via Booking.com)

Moreover, it's inexpensive. And right on Beach Road, between 3rd and 4th, in the quieter part of the run. It's got a great spa and nice exercise room, plus perhaps the most comfortable bed I had in my entire stay...firm, but not rock-hard. There's no pool (hell, Pattaya bay is a few steps out the front door) but if you wanted to go to Koh Narn, the boats seem to pick up and drop off right there on the beach.

I just posted a review I did for (for, whispers, ...another site...) over here on PA: Baboona Beachfront Living

The only simularity between the Baboona and August/April suites properties is the price. August/April suites are far superior in facilities and quality all round. I wouldn't swap my swimming pool for turd infested Pattaya bay.
