Can anyone tell me what a new cell phone like Nokia C1-01 would cost in Pattaya? If I bought such a cell phone in Europe, would I be able to use it directly in Thailand after changing the SIM card?

You are better off buying it at home. It will probably be a little cheaper and you will have no problems getting it fixed on warranty should something go wrong. As long as it is not locked at a carrier you can use a Thai SIM card in it. If it is locked to a network you can get it unlocked in Pattaya.

depends you can get some models cheaper some more expensive and their is always the chance you would get a good looking copy although most stalls will tell you the copys and reals better buying an open bk home and the and then buying a thai sim will work straght away

Thanks for the good advice. I have now purchased a cell phone in my country and will buy a SIM card when I come to Thailand.
