Importing a car from USA

So, when I was last in Pattaya I noticed that there is an old American Chevy Impala sitting on Soi 13. It got me thinking about how hard it would be to import my car to Thailand if I'm ever lucky enough to live there. Anyone know about this process? What are the cost? How hard is it to register in Thailand? I would love to tool around town in something you just don't see in LOS, even if it is just another sports car in America.

I think import tax is from 100-300%

 

My friend has his car from UK here, still on UK plates, he has to jump through alot of hoops to keep it here without paying tax. It cost 20,000 baht to ship it here.
