Kessaya Motorbike Rentals in Pattaya

On the trip I had to Thailand in April/May I once again rented a small motorbike from Mark (Yamaha Nuovo LC).

 

The bikes Mark is renting out is not new - but they are really well maintained and I have not had seen any "wrecks" with his "Ferrari sticker" around town.

 

For me - and many visitors like me - it is a great thing that Mark will deliver the bike to and pick it up from anywhere in the Pattaya/Jomtien area.

In the past I have gone out on foot and with bahtbusses to a good place to hire a bike and - on departure day getting back to the hotel on departure day is a hassle I would pay a little to avoid. The good thing is that I do not have to -

the standard price at Kessaya Motorbike Rentals for a small bike for a month is 2000 baht with a 1000 baht deposit.

 

On this trip it seemed someone had tried breaking off the two rear indicator lights and one was almost only hanging by the wire. Mark showed his commitment to good service since he fixed it on the spot and paid for it himself (even though I told him I was expecting having to pay for it). The price tag for the repair was slightly above 1000 baht so it was a positive surprise to get the 1000 baht deposit back when Mark collected the bike.

yes i rented a bike from mark on my May/June trip this year great service drop the bike off to me at the hotel at the time i wanted and picked up from me the morning i checked out and at a great price ,I also had Novuo LC was a great bike in good condition and had no problems .

 

Will use them again .

Ok I know who you are now so I can put our side of the story on here.

 

You first rented a bike from us on 1/6/11. So the rent is due on the first of every month.

 

July. Rent paid on the 7th

 

August. Rent paid on the 5th ( Bike changed due to you saying it was using too much fuel ).

 

September. Rent paid on the 2nd.

 

It's now the 17th October,we talked last week on the 9th about the rent and you assured me you would pay it last week,there has been no contact again and so this morning Ya went and collected the bike from your room,she left your good helmet on the table where the bike was parked. Were we expected to just carry on letting you ride around on our bike without paying rent on it ? How long do we have to wait for your "money transfer" to come through ?

 

Now maybe you can tell us what repairs you had to have done on either bike as we would be interested to know. Flat tyres as you know are your responsibility. Maybe you could also tell the readers about the time you lost your keys and we got you a spare set within an hour at cost to us ? As for damage repairs we repaired the damage to the first bike you brought back ( damaged footwell ) and the bike we collected today has been attacked with t-cut to remove the marks from the paintwork,we also put air in the front tyre as it only had 8 psi in it,nice to know you checked the tyres on a regular basis.

 

Your original 1000 bt deposit covered part of this month and so you've lost that, 2 helmets went with the bike, none came back, the ignition has been changed so that it can't be taken from another renter.

 

That's our side of it. Seems to me we're getting a slagging off for taking care of our own interests.

I rented a bike from Kessaya Motorcycles in September and I will do it again on my next visit.

It really was a great service at a great rate.

They even dropped off the bike and picked it up for you!

I`ve likewise rented from Kessaya`s twice for a total of 4 months so far within the last 11 months. The service is always superb by Western or any other standard, and the bikes have always been lower-mileaged and very well maintained. The drop-off and pick-up from my motel also saves me time and hassle.

The price is likewise unbeatable.

 

While there`s bound to eventually be a vocal disgruntled customer in time, based upon my own experience with Mark and Kesaya`s rentals I feel safe in saying the customer failed to fulfill their obligations rather than the other way around.

The peace of mind that comes with knowing I won`t be fleeced, in the event I do have some damage to the bike is an additional benefit.

In fact, I`ve already booked with them again for six weeks on my next trip beginning in three weeks.

 

It`d be a shame if anyone denied themself the pleasure of doing business with Kessaya`s based upon the one negative thing said among all the other positive comments from customers I`ve seen in various thereads here.

Been a client for 5 months,this month was the only one that I actually went late and had the money today, which I paid to other people to go look for the bike as I thought it got stolen. Imagine waking up at 7am and not finding the bike in front of the house,with no notice, call or sms, absolutely nothing. Hope it happens to you sometimes so you know how it feels like.

The only month you paid on time was when you collected the bike on day 1.

Repairs I had to do 3 times, after almost drifting for my life in a big intersection as the brakes, shocks and rear wheel were absolutely f****d, costed me around 300 baht everytime and I didn't complain at all.

Pure unadulterated bullshit for sure.Both bikes you had were fitted with alloy wheels and new tyres.Brakes are good on both of them,the first bike you had went out to a customer from Addicts who has replied above and will be renting again in a couple of months,before him it went out to another Addicts man who is an experienced biker who loved the bike.So you paid for what exactly ?

 

No helmets came with the bike, I brought my own when I came to pick the bike up and I remember that you asked me if I wanted helmets, told you that I have my own (I was wearing it) and that my girl has hers at home. When I lost the keys, I told you that you can come whenever you have time as I wasn't in a hurry and paid you 200 baht for the keys and an extra 100 for your trouble.

Read the contract again,ignition keys cost 300 bt plus the padlock key,as I remember I turned down your extra 100 bt for my trouble.

 

Whatever, wish you luck playing fair player with tourist, but after 5 months of business plus all the recommendations I gave people (you know what kind of work I am doing), considering that the deposit was covering my delay (and BTW there was nothing stipulated in your little "contract" regarding deadlines) O would have deserved at least a notice on Sunday that you want the bike back on Monday morning, instead of waking up at 6am like a lunatic to take the bike thief style and not even having the courtesy to send a damn message prior to that so I don't have to go pull favors and call up Pattaya's best at 7AM on a Monday, pay them another 2000 baht, just so you and your wife can play big shots around Pattaya.

What a load of shit ! I didn't wake up at 6am, Ya went with her Thai friend, I was in bed, then she went to work ! Try not paying rent on your room for over 2 weeks and see how far you get with the Thai landlord, did you explain to the BiB that you hadn't paid the rent for 17 days ? Recommendations ? Can't recall one person saying you'd told them about us. Us big shots ? That is so funny it doesn't deserve an answer !

I think as do many others that I was perfectly fair in allowing you 16 days grace to pay a measly 2000 bt rent for a bike you were using.No contact from you in the last week to explain what was happening,just the usual excuses at the start of the month about waiting for a "money transfer".

I can give you the names of 2 current long term customers who are having similar problems with money but who have contacted us to explain what's going on,as they have been up front with us we've allowed them to keep the bikes as they have promised to pay double next time.Would you have phoned us last week on the 9th if we hadn't sent text messages and called you to ask what was happening ? Somehow I doubt it.

I don't think BMs will be influenced by one disgruntled customer. Does he think you are running a charity. I bet he had enough money for beer and women while he was running around on your bike for free!!

Actually we'd like to thank you for bringing all this bullshit up, the "gullible tourists" you mention have been sending emails ( 13 ) and PM's ( 4 ) requesting bikes for their holidays. Could you go on the other forums and do the same please ?.

 

We also like the veiled threats in this post about the BiB. They never helped you much when you gave us the sob story about your PCX being stolen. What was it you said about Thai's and BiB that time ?

 

"Heroes in their own lunch boxes" Don't quite get that as I don't believe I'm a hero in any way shape or form. Will say though that I've been here just over 5 years now so I don't think I'm classed as a comer and goer do you ?

 

Anyway, as you say, whatever ! The bike you had is out today to a returning regular who has money and pays his rent on time and you're obviously happy to be rid of our shit service and even shittier bikes so we're both winners.

This BM had the Airblade number 59 for about 6 weeks after the battery on his original bike died, no complaints from him about shit brakes, wheels, tyres or suspension.

This BM had the bike we took back yesterday for a short time before the moaner had it,again no complaints about shit tyres etc just a request to rent again during his holiday here.

He's disgruntled because he's having to pay rent now ! He had money when we saw him on Pattaya Tai on the 9th with bags full of shopping from Big C ! Any rental companies on here who want his name so you know to avoid him then please PM me.
