Suggestions for December?

I will be there from Dec 1 - 31. I like guesthouses and have stayed in a few around LK Metro and I'm happy with that area. I'm probably not going to rent a bike as I just don't want to deal with it. I know it's high season but is it worth looking for a condo for that month or am I better off just staying at one or two guesthouses? I think some gh's don't do monthly rates during high season but I haven't checked very many.

 

If I could lock in a good deal on a condo in a convenient location I might do that. I'll be there in about a month so I thought I'd take a look at some places when I'm in town. I know the gh's I'm interested in so I'm looking for opinions on condo's. I looked at Dancewatchers site and vt6 looks nice but a bit expensive. I don't think I want to stay in Jomtien but I might consider it. Any other ideas?
