iphone blocked IMEI

Hi, a friend lost his IPhone and had it replaced with his phone insurance. Two weeks later it was found under the passenger seat of his mates car (insurance not told) but the airtime provider has blocked the IMEI number.

 

Just wondering if this block is worldwide or just for UK networks and if anything could be done in LOS to get it going again even if it's only used on a network over there?

this happened to me same situation in Australia i took it to Philippines and it worked over there i gave it to a girl never to work in Australia again

Just UK. Perhaps Europe.

 

Will work fine in Thailand.

not sure as i thought you couldnt do it but i did read a post earlier on here of a guy had the same,he took it to tukcom and got it unblocked and now is using it in uk fine
