Decent computer repair shop?

Recommended Posts

Last month my laptop began making crazy grinding noises, but eventually it would stop. However a few days ago it started happening again only this time it would do it non-stop. I'm guessing there's a problem with the fan and the inside will need to be cleaned as I've had it a couple of years and am yet to clean it. The noise is driving me mad and it's stopping me from using it in public

Anyway, could anyone recommend any good, trust-worthy computer repair shops in Pattaya?

Thanks!

I go to a place in Tuk Com.....not too bad.

Where ever you go, be careful and make sure they cant retrieve any bank details or personal details of any kind.

Good luck

It does sound like the fan (one of the fans) is making the noise. A hard drive would not grind it would probably tick (indicating the drive heads are about to disintegrate)

You can either try cleaning or do what I do - work out which fan it is and stick a screwdriver into the blade :) Its usually just down to vibration and a good clean will sort it but for a quick fix just keep keet stopping the blades with a screwdriver - drastic yes but it does work.

Once you know which fan it is you can always just remove it or remove the power cord BUT make sure that your system is cool enough overall otherwise you may get automatic shutdowns via the processor or mainboard to prevent damage. These settings are usually stored in the bios.

ah just checked you said laptop - ok may be cdrom drawer also check that.
