Don't think the location will make much difference on the price.

Biggest factor will be the type of implant you go for & the quality of the dentist.

If I were getting an implants, I'd be going to a large facility like Bumrungrad or Bangkok Dental Hospital

Dental Implants are not stuff a general dentist should be doing.

You want a dentist who specializes with implants and a hospital with a staff of dentists specializes in different fields.

I have a mouth full of bought and paid for teeth...unfortunately not implants. Some people can not have them. I could not because I do not have enough bone thickness in my jaw. Both the US and Thai dentists told me the same thing. My point is you need to see a good dentist and have an evaluation.

I wound up with bridges attached to caps on teeth with root canals and steel pins. I can eat anything I want and they never come out ... one whole heck of a lot better than dentures. With only two teeth missing I am betting that they recommend a bridge.

My work was done by Smile Dental Clinic in Bangkok. Took two trips, three months apart but cost 1/3 what it would have in the US.

Ive just had an implant done in Pattaya. the whole process took 5 months

and the result is fantastic. the clinic I went to was www.thaisimledental.com used to be in south

pattaya rd but he now has a surgery in Jomtien. Dr Nan is without a doubt the best dentist I have ever seen

not much pain to speak of and very reasonable on the hip pocket. 53000baht all up and that was for the rolls

Royce implant and top of the line Zirconium crown :GoldenSmile1:

Sounds like good advice. Would appreciate any other recommendations on dentists for implants. I see quite a few of the dental clinics in Pattaya advertising Implants but I know it requires a specialist.

I had a crown put on a tooth that chipped while on my last trip. After the crown was put on the tooth was giving me problems when I got back to the States. My dentist sent me to a specialist to have a root canal done but he said the tooth may be fractured and I probably have to have it pulled and an implant put in. In the states this will cost me $4000. I have not had the work done yet so I am considering having it done on my next trip.

I understand that there is a new procedure in which they can pull the tooth and put in the pin on the same day. Then after 2-3 months a cap is put on. Has anyone had this done in Thailand?

Just be careful of same day implants. They dont suit everyone, and loading an implant prior to full osseointegration is still risky in my books. A big no-no if the tooth that is being extracted has evidence of infection that has affected the underlying bone. I reswve this procedure mainly for electively extracted teeth eg if a tithe has been clean knocked out by a punch.

I think this is an expert opinion. Full of technicality which bounce top of my head but sound advice.

BTW i think India has better medical facility than Thailand!

I HIGHLY recommend Dental Hospital in Bangkok. On Suk 49/1, Tonglor. Fantastic place and they can deal with difficult situations. I also have little bone to work with and they are doing a special procedure just for that. If not, it can end up puncturing your sinus and you'll have big problems.
