Quick Question

Hi guys, been to LOS a few times but never been to Phuket. I just stumbled onto this forum a little while ago, and I am hooked! I have been to LOS a few times, but will be making my first trip to Phuket May 19th- May 26th, staying staying at the Baithong. My question- Is it worth it to go outside the Bangla area (Karon, Rawai, etc.), or will I find everything I need on Bangla road? I like the Soi 6, and Walking Street scenes in Pattaya when the sun goes down. Any input would be appreciated, and I will report after, and or during my trip. Thanks for taking the time to read!

I've never been to Phuket either, but I do know one thing.

 

Rawai is not known for it's nightlife and it can take 20 minutes supposedly on bike to get to Patong. It is also not a place to go if you like the beach.

 

I've looked into a few of the kickboxing camps which are located in Rawai like Tiger Muay Thai and Rawai Muay Thai

If Walking Street and Soi 6 are your thing, Bangla and soi kepsub (massage street) are all you are going to need.

 

I think you would probably be disappointed with anywhere else unless you like it "Low Key" and based of what you have said id say thats a no ?

 

Never been to OTOP myself so maybe missing something there and Patong is in a constant state of flux so things have moved since my last visit but Bangla and Kepsub shou;d be all you need.

Good thing about this form is that there are always heaps of active people on, that you get feedback / answers very quickly compared to some other forums

Bangla for sure will do it for you. Lots and lots of beer bars (and lots of BGs ), a few a GoGos as well - but they are not up to Pattaya standard. A few discos as well for picking up FL.

I'm not worried as I will be doing one week in Pattaya right before Phuket. I will be focusing more on the daytrip aspect of Phuket then the nightlife. I just wanted to make sure the Patong, Bangla area had enough to offer after dark should me and my cohorts get restless. By the looks of things I think it will more then meet our requirements...
