i'm in need of a couple of 500 gb 2.5" external hard drives. will be in patts soon. are they any cheaper there or shall i just grab them off ebay at £45 each?

From my experience, electronics are NOT cheaper in Thailand. IMO, you're better off buying them at home or off eBay as you mentioned.

That translates into roughly 2300 baht, I have a 640 gig external that I bought at Tukcom. I don't remember exactly, but it was right around 2200-2300, something like that. Electronics are generally not cheaper here, but they are not too high either.

Thailand is the worlds largest exporter of hard disks, all the Western Digital etc are made here! Yes the price is usually 20% more then the U.K, most odd.
